Hi all, iam new to the forum but not to biking, iam looking at going to sherwood pines on saturday and was just wanting to know is it any good for xc, does it get busy on a saturday morning? and waht are trhe down hill bits like?

i was working up around there last week and saw some tracks in the woods along side Mansfield road A6075, also A611 derby road, does any one know this area? is it worth a look or not, desperat to find some nice single track stuff as iam stuck in leicester which u all know is rubbish for mtb.

I was over there for the first time last week. Its really really really really really really really really really really muddy. Fortunately there had been a frost the night before so it was all frozen. The downhill bit was fun, especially on a SS rigid

It's O.K. for xc type riding if you're in the area.
The downhill course is the best bit and easily manageable on a rigid ss as Deaky said!
